This role is part of a clinical program focused on managing the clinical technology platform at Novartis. The Associate Director, Solution Delivery, within GCO IT will primarily support Site and Study Operations (SSO).
About the Role
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute technology delivery strategy for business systems, platforms and processes for a particular Business domain / Function
- Has end-to-end accountability for technology product delivery across business areas. Partners with business product owner to set technology roadmap, with a vision ensuring that technology products generate business value for the defined customer
- Partner with Business Product Directors for demand analysis solution proposal/evaluation and funding estimates for operations/ projects
- Partner with business partners to ensure Technology Service/Solutions Delivery teams deliver products according to strategy with reuse across other areas
- Ensure services solutions platforms products are fit for purpose and achieve the desired business value and impact
- Run efficient DevOps for platforms, products, or systems ensuring availability and optimal performance for responsible function / service area
- Establish governance structure for projects, operations, etc. with right stakeholder representation, including: underpinning IT services in the delivery & support of the IT application and adherence to Security, Compliance policies & procedures
- Track, report and deliver against agreed success factors and measurements for various stakeholders for function / service areas whilst ensuring overall user experience is taken into account when designing deploying new solutions~ services and steady state operations
- Contribute to transformation initiatives using the latest technology stack and follow industry trends and emerging practices to drive agility, speed, efficiency and effectiveness.
- Manage application lifecycle management, application data consistency, portfolio optimization and continual improvements
- Execute problem management and drive identification of root causes as well as sufficient prevention of recurrences
Essential Requirements:
- University Degree and/or relevant experience and professional qualifications
- Good understanding track record delivering technology products (e.g. working in Veeva Vault)
- Working experience & knowledge of Clinical business process (including GxP) within Pharma industry
- IT Technical Strategy and Planning, Emerging Technology Monitoring, Vendor Management, good understanding of Waterfall and Agile methodologies
- Proven ability to work in a cross-functional team within a matrix environment building relationships, and driving engagement
- Previous experience and strong mindset in continuous improvement and change management Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Needs to be able to work independently and reliably
- Proficiency in English (written and oral)
Nice to Have:
- Working experience & knowledge of Clinical business process areas
- Integration with CTMS (Veeva), and solutions that support Site and Study operations within Clinical Operations?
- Experience in adoption and development of Agile methodologies
